I purchased this for the unit at my office, after first testing at home. Be sure to disconnect and clean thoroughly when finished each time you use it, since the milk residue will sour overnight. This product is a "must have" for the dedicated cappuccino enthusiast. It is so much easier to quickly prepare capp's for your guests than without.
This is the system we use with our Jura-Capresso automatic coffee center. It froths automatically, so it makes it extremely easy to make cappuccinos and lattes - much easier than with other systems, and much much easier than having to drive someplace everytime you want a gourmet coffee beverage.
Save your money. If you can find some small diameter silicone tubing and an angled tee, you can effectively make your own frothing system (and a far more versatile one, at that) for a few bucks. If they don't have what you need, maybe Amazon stocks your parts. In the light of day, this is just more trouble than it is worth. Frankly, the valve is just about worthless and the container is an extra piece. Take some measurements and go to Tap plastics and talk to the nice people behind the counter.
Clean up is about as easy as can be expected. It works even better than I'd hoped. But if you want, you can use a different vessel (metal or glass) and that would work fine, so my complaint is pretty minor. I purchased one of these to see if it would be better than doing it by hand. boy is it ever. My only complain would be that the container is plastic; metal or glass would hold a chill better, making for better foam.
